Beacon is operated by Carlos Cintron (Sole Proprietor), doing business as Beacon. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account info: your sign-in email or login provider details, display name, handle, avatar and time zone.
- Phone number (optional): only if you turn on Beacon Alarm Alerts, used to verify your number and send the alerts you choose.
- Event activity: communities you follow, events you join or check into, points, boosts and badges.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your schedule, and calculate points and reputation.
- To send verification codes and event alerts you have opted into by text or call.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use service providers only to operate Beacon, such as hosting and our messaging provider for delivering texts and calls. Your public profile shows only what you choose to make public.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any Beacon text to stop messages, or turn off alerts and remove your number in Settings. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
